• In 1999, Benjamin Gordon founded a SaaS logistics company called 3PLex. He raised traditional venture capital from major financial institutions including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. 3Plex has since been acquired by Maersk.
• As part of his experience with 3PLex, Benjamin believed that there was a need for a supply sector-focused investment firm, comprised of both traditional senior investment professionals as well as relevant operators, with a track record of success and who have built major companies in the sector.
• In 2010, Benjamin Gordon founded Cambridge Capital to build the type of investment firm that he wishes he had when he was a founder.
• Staying true to its heritage, Cambridge seeks to be a founder friendly, high-impact investor who makes a small number of high-conviction investments per year and provides practical, hands-on assistance in all functional and strategic areas important to growth-stage companies in supply chain.
