Uber Direct and Bringg, a delivery management platform, have teamed up in France to assist retailers in delivering their goods faster to local customers.
According to a Monday (Sept. 12) press release, the partnership will allow Bringg to expand its operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
In the press release, Bringg's market-leading innovation and customer-first approach will strengthen and deepen our market presence in the French market. There is no doubt that last mile delivery will be a force to reckon with in the delivery and fulfillment industry.
According to the study, a significant percentage of online shoppers believe a bad delivery experience is a reason to terminate business with a company. Bringg's services include fast delivery, real-time tracking of orders, and flexible delivery.
According to a January List23 research paper, "Decoding Customer Affinity: The Customer Loyalty to Merchants Survey 2022," 35% of U.S. customers surveyed said they would leave their online grocery stores or pharmacies if a competitor provided superior digital service.
"Online businesses are realizing that maximizing efficiency and lowering delivery costs are critical elements of the customer journey," according to Bringg CEO Guy Bloch.
The Uber Direct-Bringg collaboration dates back to January 2021, when the companies announced a contract that would give Bringg's corporate customers "instant access" to Uber Direct drivers.

Bringg raised $100 million in a Series E funding round led by Insight Partners, including existing investors Cambridge Capital, GLP, Next 47, Pereg Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, and Viola Growth. The investment increased the firm's value to $1 billion.
